What is EmployGeorgia?

EmployGeorgia is a secure, web-based system for resume building and job search. The system helps you build or update a resume, find job leads, and explore career options.

Does it cost anything to use EmployGeorgia?

No. This site is part of the workforce system and is funded with federal tax dollars.

What does the "s" stand for in your URL?

URLs that contain "https://" mean the connection is secure; therefore, sensitive information, such as your social security number, is safeguarded.

How do I get started?
You have two options to use EmployGeorgia. To take full advantage of EmployGeorgia, you want to register for an account. Registering only requires two steps and allows you to:
  • create or upload your resume
  • see all job postings, including ones recommended for you based on your skills and experience
  • research careers
  • research information about employers
  • research information about training

If you choose not to register, you may:
  • view limited information about job postings
  • research careers
  • research information about employers
  • research information about training

You will not be able to store your resume or view personalized career options.

What are the requirements for creating a password?

Your password must be between 6-20 characters and must include at least one number.

How do I reset my password if I've forgotten it?

From the sign in box, select the "Forgot Your Password?" link. You will be prompted to enter your email address and your password will be sent to the most recent email address on record for your EmployGeorgia account. Once you have logged in, remember that you can change your user name, password and security questions in My Account.

Why do I need to provide my social security number?

To receive federal dollars and keep this service free, we are required to ask for your social security number. It is not made available to employers or the public. Visit the site's Privacy/Security section for more detailed information about the tools, policies, and protocols used to safeguard the submission of your information.

How does EmployGeorgia match me to job openings?

Through the creation of your resume in EmployGeorgia, the system uses artificial intelligence to compare your resume information to job posting information and, when job alerts are established, notifies you of possible matches.
